I think that looks more like chinese desert :)

Don't think it is Thai food, as Albert says It is Chinese. (price tag looks like Chinese as well :)

The first 2 pictures are that of the durian. This thorned fruit is very popular in Southeast Asia.

Other than the rats, the rest of the assorted food are from China.

Anyway, kudos for the great site!

People says Durian is the "KING" of all fruits.Which is true, once u get the taste of it...U can never forget the taste forever... ;)

Thats rather ambiguous. I've tried it before... It's unique but I don't quite like it...

Gosh the rest of it is gross though. Seriously. I know that's rather ethnocentric but seriously...

I've been to China and never saw that crap being sold though...

Durian really taste good...

u can find the chinese dessert in beijing..wang fujing street...i haven't tried it yet...

The rats are being used like advertising in a french shop that sell mice poison. Is written in french "These mice were capture on Les Halles circa 1925"

I believe the one with the mice hanging in the store window is in Paris.

This is chinese food my boyfreind was in china last Spring and brought home numerous pictures he took that are exactly the same. They have a place called SNACK ALLEY all they have are rows and rows of this kind of stuff for sale to eat! Not what I want for Breakfest, Lunch,or dinner!!!!

Those pics ARE cool, but I cringe at the word "freaky."
I've seen way too many americans looking down their noses are perfectly tasty asian foods just because they are outside of their western comfort zone.

Personally, I'd eat the bugs.

The first 2 pictures it's Yaka, is also very popular in Mexico, but only in 2 states. It's smells horrible but the taste it's good

durian tastes like a sweet onion and has the texture of phlegm. it's banned in most hotels and public transportation in SE Asia because of the odor.

the fried critters taste like potato chips, but the little legs get stuck in your teeth and in your throat. fantastic!

King of fruit " Durian" It is a tropical fruit in southeast Asia. It is the most make money export fruit from Thailand and Vietnam to the world. It very nice taste but some people does't like it(western people does't like durian smells,eastern people does't like cheese smells)but you will never know untill you try it and it not FREAKY

what is so freaky about durians?! they're just fruits... =S

First of all, I don't think that this is Thai food at all. It's chinese for your info plus the sign is totally read out in chinese. You need to do some more research before posting thing!!!
