Convert your Old TV into a Fish Tank

Since we’re environmentally aware and we really want to recycle as much as we can, we thought we’d show you a little trick for your old TV set - how to turn it into an aquarium. Naturally, the tube will have to come out and replaced with the aquarium. Fish swimming are certainly more relaxing to see than some of the shitty shows and news we get fed on a daily basis. Kitty seems to like it too!

I can't really describe how stupid this is. Do you realize how much a functional b&w TV set with wood casing like this worths? congratulations fish boy, you could buy a fish tank the size of your house with it.

I'll say it is really creative Cheers...

Dude, those things are not worth money. People give them away for free on craigslist all the time. I asked an antique dealer and the pawn shop and both agreed they are worthless.

Nice try though.

Look on Ebay... TVs like this go for peanuts.
Well done on the conversion.

Don't bullshit us with the "enviro" stuff... You didn't recycle anything, you took something that worked for 50-years and ruined it.

I could only hope that CRT would implode on your boney-ass feet.

I've wanted to do this ever since I saw the one in the apartment on "Caroline In The City". I like that you've done photos of some of the steps - most guides I've found are text only and only post before and after photos. Now if I can get my dad to give me the old junker that was my grandmothers. (He's got it stored 500+ miles away and never looks at it, but OMGNODONTTOUCHITEVER.)
