@Anon did you do the photoshopping of the sailor venus photo yourself? If so, good photoshopping skills. If not, maybe look at this as some inspiration to work on your cosplay and/or get a little more in shape? (I don't mean like self starvation or exercise bulimia) It never hurts to try to be healthier!

fuck no i didn't you need to remove my photo. I agree about the healthly part but there are bigger people out there that are a hell of alot worst then me. You do NOT have permission to have my photo on this site.

You should add these two to this page:

You DO NOT need to be "healthier". This is offensive. The girls look nice beforehand and fucking creepy after.

some of these are just different people in the two pics...

Photoshop NOOBS, please leave your nonprofessional opinion inside your head

This is really sick. This is what they do to women in magazines. Even models don't look like that. Congratulations on objectifying those women - that's what you're doing. Turning women into dolls.

They are beautiful the way they are, even if they don't look like someone out of a magazine. Even the models don't look like people out of a magazine - they aren't REAL. They are mostly photoshopped barbie-dolls.

I think it's fine to play with photoshop, but just be aware of the kind of images and messages you're perpetuating. Even if you think you're having fun, you are perpetuating a myth about female beauty - that it is unnatainable, and that it is whatever makes her look like a lifeless, soulless barbie (or in many cases, these look like cartoons or caricatures).

A lot of these look obvious and fake. Big sign of someone who isn't very good at Photoshop. Good job on not fixing the background on the 23rd image (couple standing in front of the mesh fence). And please, if you must edit the women, also edit the men, too. The man in the image I just mentioned isn't exactly an Abercrombie model.

The after image is how I saw them at the drunken convention after party and the before is what I woke up with. lol It's ok though nerd girls with low self esteem need love too (if only at out of town cons.)

ok seriously...im 135 pounds and
5'7 and even though im not the biggest girl out there...im still not happy with the way i look...some ppl are just so used to being degraded so much that thats what they beleive...and it really unfair...dickface that made the comment about what he woke up with...FUCK YOU!!!shes beautiful...and 30 years from now when yew wake up alone...thats why...just because your self asteem is so low you have to degrade the ppl arround you to make you feel better about yourself...cause of your...ahem...weight issue...and by the way...TOTAL AIR FIVE TO THE GIRL....you got balls standing next to that asshole!!!!

I would bang about 90% of these chicks. Not because they're hot but because I like bitches in costume. Which one is salor venus? Doesn't matter I'd probably tag you.

I think the photoshopper(s) of these images did a fantastic job. To turn less-fortunate looking people into average looking or better looking individuals is an art. :)

now i really wanna see the sailor v photo...

im a cosplayer my self and us girls cosplaying get so much shit if we don't look rthe same as a character, i mean seriously im skinny but the size of anime legs and wat not is just insane!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Really, no one is ever going to look like an anime character. I dont believe i have ever seen a woman with boobs bigger than my head and a waist the size of my wrist.
On the same note, a woman who is vastly overweight for the character she is portraying should already be expecting the responses, just develop some witty quips to shut the douchebags down. One good comeback and they will end up sobbing in the corner. Its good to be healthy, but its also a very difficult lifestyle choice to take up. Habits dont break easily. If it was easy, everyone would have a "perfect body"

The girl in the Sailor Venus costume looks really nice. Plus cosplaying is a hobby for most people so cut people some slack if they don't want to change their lifestyle completely just so they look like a character for a few days.

The girl in the sailor venus photo looks like an oink and the attitude is even worse. I would say she is screwed all the way around. Gross Gross.

I seriously thought the one in the SV costume was a man. A really, really unfortunate looking man.
