Cool way to put out a boat fire - FIRE FIGHTING WIN! [Video]

Filmed at Lake Lyndon in New Zealand.

The skipper of the boat tried to start it after it died in the middle of the lake. It caught fire, so he jumped ship and watched it burn slowly. The wind drifted the burning boat to shore. No one could really do anything about it as it had two big tanks of gas on board until a jet boat SAVED THE DAY!

Pin It now!

The jet of water propelling the boat is what is putting out the fire, not "making waves" like some journalists have portrayed. years ago rich NZ farmers used to claim tax breaks re their jet boats which were listed as "mobile firefighting pumps" (jet boat on a trailer)!!!! and their swimming pools were "firefighting reservoirs" for the same reasons. A jet boat will empty a swimming pool in seconds!
